School Day For Elementary Students
Grades one through six begin class at 8:55 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Lunch is from noon to 1:00 p.m. On Fridays, students attend school from 8:55 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There are two kindergarten sessions. The morning session runs from 8:55 a.m. to noon., and the afternoon session runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. There is no school for kindergarten students on Friday unless there are special circumstances. If these circumstances occur, kindergarten students are required to attend on Friday.
Because teachers work after school to prepare lessons and execute other responsibilities, we expect all elementary students to leave the school grounds no later than 4:30 p.m. unless permission to stay has been granted by both the parent and the teacher. This is for the safety of all Masada students because the staff at Masada knows that students who are not under the supervision of parents or teachers may meet with danger.
